Gambling Addiction Can Become Slow Suicide That Does Not Only Affect You Financially

Why is gambling addiction a slow suicide? What makes gambling addiction so dangerous not only to your financial health, but to your emotional health as well. Gambling problems are  progressive, and can destroy every aspect of yourself, including your spirituality and your mental, emotional, and social well-being.

When you suffer from  problem gambling , gambling takes over your entire universe.. If you are a recreational gambler, of course this would not apply to you so this would not happen.

However, if you are a compulsive or addictive gambler, and you gamble daily, or binge gamble most of your available funds, you are on your way to a slow suicide.

Gambling addiction can affect every area of your life and I will list some of these below:

  1. Your functioning at work will become diminished, and there is a strong chance you can lose your job due to excessive lateness, or missing work.
  2. If you are an addicted gambler, eating right as well as proper sleep and exercise take a back seat to everything else.
  3. You can become physically sick very easily due to the factual information on  #2 above.
  4. Your social life and your social circle will get smaller and smaller, especially if these people are not gamblers.
  5. Your family life will suffer severely and your spouse and other family members will see your neglect of them, as well as what is happening to the family financially.
  6. You can max out your credit cards, lose your home, and put yourself in a terrible financial mess.
  7. Your mood will suffer and depression and anxiety will start to become your primary feelings, especially as your addiction progresses.
  8. Your spiritual life will suffer, as gambling will become your God, and eventually nothing else will matter.

As gambling addiction progresses, your life will fall into a horrible tailspin that will inevitably result in jails, institutions or rehabs, or even death.

This addiction has the highest suicide rate of all addictions and is to be taken very very seriously

If you have a severe gambling problem, stop gambling, and get yourself some professional help now.
