The Stakes Can Be High If You Do Not Quit Gambling

Why would stakes be high if you have a gambling addiction or a gambling problem and you do

not quit? Is gambling not supposed to be fun, and a great escape from the truly mundane

aspects of life?

If you are a recreational gambler, this does not apply to you. If you have a gambling

problem, this applies to you strongly.

The stakes are high, because gambling addiction is not just a problem regarding money. Sure

you are most likely in debt because of your gambling problem. When you have a problem with

gambling, however, it will truly effect every area of your life.

The stakes are high because gambling addiction can become all encompassing. It will take up

your free time, and take you away from much more productive activity.

In addition, a gambling problem can cause you to be socially isolated from friends and

family. A slot machine or a poker table becomes your new form of social interaction. Every

other relationship starts to become less and less important.

Lastly, when you do not stop gambling, your physical and emotional health can deteriorate at

a rapid pace. Gambling takes the place of emotional and physical self-care and this can

really take its’ toll over time.

So these are just a few reasons why the stakes are high if you do not make the decision to

quit gambling and return to a much better way of life.

When you quit gambling life gets better. Make the decision to stop gambling, and things will

change for the better in all areas of your life.
