Stop Gambling
If you have a gambling addiction or a gambling problem and do not stop gambling, what will happen to you, if anything? Well here are a few things that I believe will or can happen if you are addicted to gambling and do not quit gambling.
1. If you do not stop gambling, you will continue to lose money. You may start to max out your credit cards, and go into severe debt. You could plunge into bankruptcy or lose your home.
2. If you do not stop gambling, you will most likely neglect your family and friends. Gambling addiction is socially isolating. Gambling becomes your best friend, and everything else comes last.
3. If you do not stop gambling, you could lose your job because it is hard to concentrate on your career when gambling is first thing on your mind.
4. If you do not stop gambling your health will suffer due to neglect, stress, and worry. People with a compulsive gambling problem due not take care of themselves. Eating poorly, lack of exercise, and lack of sleep becomes a way of life.
5. If you do not stop gambling, you will not feel good about yourself. Your self esteem will be very low because you know that you are hurting yourself and your family. People with severe gambling problems do not like themselves. Self-hatred starts taking over and dominating your life.
6. If you do not stop gambling, you will lose hope. You will walk around in a state of desperation, waiting for your next bet. When you have an untreated gambling problem, despair and despondency becomes a way of life.
7. If you do not stop gambling, you could wind up in jail, in a mental institution, homeless, or even suicidal.
8. If you do not stop gambling you will destroy your life, and you will have nothing left.
There are ways to stop gambling. Gamblers Anonymous groups, counseling, and other support groups can give you the help you need.
There are also self-help books on Gambling and Stop Gambling courses as well.
Do not give up hope on yourself and your life and get help now. Life is better when you stop gambling.
