Why would you want to stop gambling? It is just a few hours of fun, right? Well that all depends. If you
are the type of person that gambles recreationally with amounts that you can afford, than there is no
need to stop gambling.
I am writing to the readers who are gambling on a weekly basis, perhaps with more money than they can
afford to gamble, under the guise of recreational gambling.
If you are this person, than you may want to read on. Because if you are gambling weekly, or daily,
with more many than you can afford, you are wasting your money.
In my opinion, anything more than what you can afford to gamble, is a shear waste of money. Just think
about what you could do with those hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars.
Well why do I believe it is a waste of money? I have a couple of reasons, and you may or may not agree
with me.
1. You cannot win money that you spend in a casino. The odds are totally against you. You may win a
couple of times out of the many times that you gamble. You then, like most people, will more than likely
give the money back. This is human nature.
2. If you stop gambling, you could have an extra 3, 4,or 5 thousand dollars saved up by the end of the
year. Would you not rather go on a nice vacation, or perhaps even pay off some debt by the end of the
year. When you stop gambling, you will have all of this money saved up by the end of the year. Believe
me, money spent on gambling can add up to huge amounts of money.
3. The casinos do not need your money. Do not waste your hard-earned money giving the casino owners a
share. They make plenty of money, and do not need yours.
4. What about having money for a rainy day. If you have passed the threshold of recreational gambling,
you will most likely not have any money saved, and you may also be in a lot of credit card debt. In this
economy, you need an emergency fund because you never know when you may need it.
So these are my reasons that you should stop gambling because it is an absolute waste of your money. I
could think of a lot more, but I figured I would keep it short and to the point.
If you decide to stop gambling, best of luck to you. Life is truly better without gambling.

Hi Bill. I would definitely move away from gambling as entertainment. It is very easy for people to move from recreational gambling to addictive gambling. I would try to find a new hobby and stay away from the casinos. Gambling will take too much from you. I would stop gambling now. Fill your weekends with something more constructive and keep your calendar full. Life gets better when you stop gambling.
Best of luck to you!
